We do conferences too...
I might actually go to this one as it doesn't feature Neal Lawson:
Looks like some really good debates there, but they could probably do with a bit of wider variety in termss of speakers... I'm a bit suspiscious that the big questions (apart from the terrorism one) will answer themselves...
lots of chaps speaking - not many women considering 28% of PLP are women. And no female 'rising stars' - And I wonder just how many of them live outside of London??
I think it's true to say that Tony has put more women round the cabinet table than any other pm but of the three MP's that have been promoted from the 2005 intake Pat McFadden, Ed Miliband and Ed Balls there are no women. This is from a parliamentary intake that is more than 50% because of AWS
Leave off Neal, he's well cool with those specs and the designer clobber. The Labour Party needs more people who look like Filofax-waving yuppies, not less.
It was a shame Lawson, Lucas and Mendelson split up, they could have been big, I'm telling you. They needed to get rid of Lucas, what a smarmy charisma-free zone. Mendelson was well buff though.
