On Friday we followed the now traditional Akehurst karaoke birthday party at my favourite Chinese restaurant, Shanghai, in Dalston, with a visit to the Dalston Jazz Bar.

Spring has arrived when the rare chestnut tree leafs in the playing field area adjacent to the path from the lodge on Green Lanes to the House - just to the right of the pictures you posted - usually two weeks before the rest of the magnificent chestnuts in the People's Park of Clissold, Stoke Newington.
