Southall
Back to Southall tonight (or more correctly to Elthorne Ward - Hanwell - the mainly white non-Labour end of the constituency) with a team of Hackney councillors.
Unlike the Southall end of the seat, virtually no posters up, and impossible to call based on the canvass returns (I was holding the canvass board so saw all the data).
This one is going down to the wire.
I'll be back there at 6am on Thursday.

It's a shame Hackney's Labour councillors couldn't find something more useful to do ... like sort out the mess in our own backyard! Whenever did I see a Labour councillor knocking on my door (in Hackney) to find out what my concerns are?
Errrr, never!

Of course, if I actually had any bottle I'd stand for Hackney Council myself and do something about it, instead of just carping from the sidelines!
But that would involve me revealing my name, wouldn't it?

Mr Hardly wishes his beloved party all the best tonight and will send his love via the fellow welsh comrades who will be visiting the constituency this evening.
PWB LWC!

Observer's friend - we knocked on pretty much every door in the borough at least once between Sept 2005 and May 2006. Maybe you weren't in. We spoke to up to 70% of the electorate in some wards. We are currently going back round again at weekends. We also distributed a survey to every household in Hackney in the run-up to the 2006 elections which over 2000 residents replied to setting out their concerns. All Labour Councillors also hold regular ward surgeries and are contactable by email and post at the Town Hall.
