Alan Davidson
I've just learnt through references on Facebook and then confirmed by Lambeth Labour Leader Steve Reed's website that my friend and comrade Alan Davidson has died suddenly aged only 43.
This is devastating news - Alan was a fantastic man who was completely dedicated to the Labour Party and trade union movement and known to lots of us in London through the Amicus Regional Political Committee and his campaigning in Streatham CLP.
It's incredibly sad that someone so full of energy and warmth should pass away so young.
My thoughts are with his family.

Luke,
I didn't know Alan and Steve's website does him a great service in promoting what he did before he died.
I saw from Steve's site that he represented his local Labour Party in laying a wreath at Rememberance Sunday recently, something which reflects his commitment to the community.
I was saddened and shaken to read this and some of the comments that followed concerning Labour activity at war memorials (in South London also) and feel it is something you and other activists might wish to consider to promote the kind of socialist politics Alan may wish to be remembered by:

This is really sad news and I share completely what you've just said about Alan.
He was a lovely guy who I got to know a number of years back in the old-MSF union at our annual conference.
He was always a laugh, but serious with it.
Farewell to a Comrade.
