What did you think of our campaign materials? i Thought them quite poor - simple things like the fact it was difficult to read the block caps postcards etc

can't wait to see the blue plaque btw.
Turnout in tower hamlets was high -somewhere between council and GE turnout. The by-elections in weavers ward and millwall seem to have motivated the voters - and lab *may* get a gain from the libdems in weavers.
The cabbie on the way back from the after-election party was from homerton and voted for ken and for labour.

The bit of Camden where I voted (closer to UCLH) was pretty quiet, when my housemate went during afternoon, it was practically empty. Hopefully Camden will turn out for Labour though, any idea of the last result? Weather has been shocking in London, had a random thunderstorm in the early evening, hopefully the turnout is enough to deny the BNP.

Labour stopped being labour along time ago. From being the party that cared and respected the working classes to a party that brings in the 10% tax amongst other taxes that are hitting the poorest. Furthermore, they have allowed big businesses like Gas companies to make huge profits at the expense of the elderly and poor who cannot afford to pay the bills.
So much for Labour. I hope they lose, get put back into opposition so they learn a lesson.

i voted labour in the vain hope that they turn away from the center and at least recognise that the working class still exist and that the divide is still growing. Too obsessed with the economy rather than the other aspects that make up a person's life. Time for us "Thatcher's" children to grow up and realise that money is a dangerous obsession and that the market doesn't always know best!
