Infamy at last
Something of a shock to be greeted by my local newsagent this morning with the news that I had made it on to the front page of the Hackney Gazette with a very out-of-date picture and the headline "TERROR VOTE CALL OUTRAGE". Must be a slow news week down our way. Very fair and balanced article by the Gazette though, souvenir copies of which will be winging their way to my relatives. Might even frame one. My son being too young to read was merely impressed that "dada's picture" is not only on the telly and the (com)"puter" but also features at the same height as the Thomas the Tank Engine and Lazytown comics in the corner shop, thus presumably putting me on a par with them.

Hackneyed Gazette are never the fastest out of the blocks but wow what a photo. A mug shot from those nice people down at Stoke Newington Cop Shop?

Labour now less than a month away from Bankruptcy. Brown legally liable for over 25 million and could force him to resign as PM.
Millions of Union members are voting to leave the Labour party next week and Brown upsets nearly all public sectors workers on pay deals.
The demise comes closer week by week.

Rich
the Labour Party is not in any danger of bankruptcy. NEC members were briefed on this at last Thursday's meeting.

As the great man said -
Infamy! Infamy! They've all got it in for me!

Daddy - why are the big kids in playgroup all saying you've done whoopsies over the front page of the newspaper?

I understand that the secret advice shared with the NEC at last Thursday's meeting was that the Labour Party is preparing to float itself on the Stock Exchange. As with the football clubs, this is a smart idea at first - you get loadsa wonga. Then you find the Labour Party being run by Rupert Murdoch or Thaksin Shinawatra. Oh well, not so bad I suppose when you consider that your likely owners share your political beliefs.

Here is the link to the editorial about daddy that everyone in playgroup has been laughing at. They've been calling my daddy names. What's "numpty" mean?

well... they do say all news is good news....
and relative to a lot of the other stuff on labour in the papers at the moment, i'd say it's broadly positive.
