I can understand how a party might target, for example, Turkish voters (the language barriers spring to mind), but how do you target Caribbean voters, many of whom are British born (and speak better English than most white folk!)? What did you promise them? What did lies did you put out about the opposition parties (Conservatives/Lib Dems = white man's parties?). Either way, a terrible route to go down, and one which will badly backfire!

He listens. He thinks. He answers the question. He explains. He's sensitive/sympathetic. He wins friends. He's himself.
How on earth did the Labour Party end up with someone who can't do any of those things?

This was a local election and the voters have seen how crap the Lib Dems are in neighbouring Islington and Camden. The National elections will see the end of Labour for many years to come. Brown has screwed it, riding on the back of astronomical housing inflation and misinterpreting it as growth!
This housing price boom has actually caused a lot of misery, many people can't afford to buy or rent a home now. Brown has been so out of touch. The housing market should have been sustained. Brown was warned for the last 10 years where all this was heading to!
