Exclusive: Labour hires 30 extra election staff

I've been told that the Labour Party has finally overcome its financial difficulties enough to go on a hiring spree, with the funds now available to recruit 30 new frontline staff for the General Election.

Donors have funded the new posts with ring-fenced cash so that they know their donations are being spent directly on the election campaign.

Recruitment is starting immediately, so Labour activists who want to work as full-time staff on the election campaign should look out for the posts starting to be advertised here: http://www.labour.org.uk/new_job

Whilst the Party isn't out of the woods yet financially, this proves the media and Tory blogosphere hype about us being unable to fund a proper campaign is wishful thinking, and Labour is gearing up for a professional, hard-fought election campaign.

Luke.

This is great good news.

However, I would like to say the word is EMPLOY dear boy, EMPLOY.

Not HIRE. That word is an "Americanism".

There is of late far too much of an incipid "Americanisation" of the British Language. It has to be stopped, and soon.

The Tories and Labour are in collaboration any way, in 1997 Labour continued the Tory policies and both parties are neo conservative-so what the fuck if Labour lose one Fascist party goes and another comes in?

I am concerned that the next election could be won or lost on the web, and our party doesn't seem to have worked out how to counter the vile anti Labour Party propaganda which proliferates there. (See, for example, www.thelabourparty.org.uk ), a disgusting parody of the main Labour Party site.) Some of the new staff should be deployed to fight propaganda like this, before all is lost.

Actually, I created www.thelabourparty.org.uk , and now I use Labour Party sites to link to it to increase traffic. I can only do this if I pretend to be some outraged Labour Party politically correct prig, with no sense of humour at all.

Thanks for taking the bait.

www.thelabourparty.org.uk shut down by UK Police

On Friday 23 April, 2010, 4 years of documenting and ridiculing the excesses of the criminally insane Labour Government came to an end, when Detective Sargeant Stephen Truick, Police Central e-crime Unit (Computer Crime Unit), Metropolitan Police, instructed the registrars, LCN, to shut the site down.

Although the site broke no laws, somebody in authority clearly didn't get the joke, and, with a complete disregard for the principles of free speech, decided it should be terminated.

If you would like to express your opinion on this manifestation of the destruction of our democracy and way of life, why not email Stephen and let him know how you feel. His email: Stephen.Truick@met.pnn.police.uk

I am totally mystified as to why they bothered: In 11 days time, the Labour Party will be voted out of power anyway, which would have meant that the site was irrelevant. Clearly, when it comes to being stupid, the current regime definitely excels!

Ah well, such is life....

Yes, it really did. Britain is now a Police state. 1984 is here.. 26 years later than Orwell predicted, but definitely here. The future is a boot stamping on a human face...
