Hackney sweeps LGC awards
Congratulations to the staff and Cabinet of Hackney Council for winning the most awards (three) at last night's Local Government Chronicle Awards:
Winner: Best Children's Services
Winner: Employee Engagement
Winner: Place of the Year
and
Highly Commended: Council of the Year

PLACE OF THE YEAR!?!?!?!?!
Youths opened fire as parents went to collect their children from nursery in Stoke Newington yesterday afternoon (March 25).
Gunshots were fired in Allen Road shortly before 4.15pm.
A bystander, who asked not to be named, said she saw two teenage boys - one carrying a gun and one brandishing a knife - chasing another boy

Ironic isn't it? 'Best place', just as another person stabbed to death in Stamford Hill. Those local government morons who judge these vacuous awards, should come and live here. Probably felt sorry for Jules

A teenager has been stabbed to death in an attack by at least four others in the early hours of this morning in Hackney, east London, police have said.
The youth, who was found by officers in Amhurst Park at around 1.50am, is believed to have been in his late teens.
