Turkeys demand early Christmas

If I was an opposition leader with a mid-term lead of only 1%, I would not be demanding an early General Election which would take place at exactly the point at which the new PM was enjoying their political honeymoon.

  1. Is the young gentleman stealing the old gentleman's clothes again here? Didn't Ming demand this a whole day earlier and reshuffle this daft woman into "International affairs" Will the old gent's clothes fit him? Does Ming have a pair of blue Contours?

  2. Did I say "Contours"? He's probably got some of those. But i think what i really meant was the opposite like these where the emphasis this season is on RED!

  4. The most recent time there was a change of PM mid-term (Thatcher to Major) it led to the government going from 8% behind to 5% ahead in the space of 2 months.

  5. Hey Luke ... that's true ... but we were talking the extremely charismatic John Major ... I'm not sure John McDonnell can quite match that chutzpah ... though ... spooky sign for conspiracists ... they have the same initials Cheers!
