Number 72

I've been voted number 72 in Iain Dale's top 500 UK political blogs.

Not bad considering the voting was partly by his readers, who are mainly Tories.

I think I'm also the only person in there with a full scale spoof of my blog by someone else in the top 500 - the spoof Luke comes in rather lower that me at number 274, which he must be crying into his keyboard in Dalston about given the amount of creativity, hours of photoshopping, and sheer bile (can you get a bile transplant if you use it all blogging?) he puts into the job.

Some Tory or Trot - http://www.septicisle.info/ - I couldn't be bothered reading it to work out which - thinks my ranking is outrageous as I'm "the Hazel Blears of the online world". Thanks for the unintended compliment, whoever you are...

  1. I'm neither Tory nor Trot, just not braindead enough to realise you're everything that's wrong with Labour party today.

  2. Yep... because the opinion polls suggest the Labour Party has got a lot wrong with it don't they?

  3. Well I'm number 33 so for once the hard left has beaten you, Luke.

  4. I occasionally look at both Akehurst sites and find they compliment each other perfectly. But I think you'll find your vardøger harks from your neck of the woods and not ours.

As for casting aspersions, I think you are just jealous because he/she/they have better presentation skills (and a sense of humour). And I would have thought you had enough bile to fuel the entire internet!

  5. I know who he is and therefore am pretty sure he lives in Dalston, though he has a sidekick who did the nice photograph of my front door.

I reserve my bile for enemies of the people: Tories, Trots, Stalinists, Labour leftwingers (soft and hard varieties), Greens, Fascists, Lib Dems... Everyone else I'm sweetness and light to.

That must make you a very lonely man!

  7. I thought you were the spoofster. The other guy is the original - and much funnier.

I think sometimes you have trouble telling when I am being tongue in cheek.

It's also quite possible to disagree vigorously with people's politics in some areas but work with them on areas where you agree.

My dear comrade I was only joking. I am sure you have a plethera of friends you can call and dine/plot with, sorry you took that so personally To my mind I've left simular comments on your previous posts

I completely agree, which proves your point quite eliquently.

More interesting to me is that you say you know this doppleganger, what is his bug bear with you? Kudos to him though, his spoof blog is quite entertaining, if not borderline libelous.

  10. I don't know him personally but I am reliably informed of who he is. I don't think his grudge is against me personally - I'm just the Hackney Councillor who has a blog to spoof - his grudge is with Hackney Labour and Hackney Council in general.

  11. Hello spoofie. I only just read these comments and I'm just dying for you to tell me who I am and what my grudge is all about.
