Tory Key Seat PPC Resigns

With just months to go until a General Election, Karen Buck MP's Tory opponent has resigned.

Joanne Cash, Tory PPC for marginal Westminster North (notional majority about 3,000) stepped down following what ConHome calls "internal tensions in the local party". Be interesting to know what that means.

Not useful for the Tories in such a target seat for them on a night when their national poll lead dropped 3% according to Populus.

  1. She was forced out by the Tory Taleban.

    Her crime? She got pregnant.

  2. How exciting; three decades ago I lived in what is now Westminster North and a bit of my heart is there still. The boundaries must have shifted quite a lot; it was a safe Tory seat in those days (St Marylebone if Wikipedia is right) and the avuncular Kenneth Baker (he of the teachers' "in service" days) was our MP.

    Good luck Karen Buck...

  4. She can't have done because there is no second home allowance at all for inner London MPs.

  5. Karen Buck ... that would the same Karen Buck who never got a letter from Thomas Legg, surely not?

    Indeedy?

  6. Karen Buck ... would that be the same Karen Buck who made her receipts available for her constituents and the media to see even before FOI forced publication, surely not?

    Indeedy?

  7. Who is these anonymous smearer? Karen is an inner London MP who does not get any payment towards a 'second home'. And I can tell you she lives in the same flat now that she was living in before she was elected.

More than that she voluntarily disclosed her claims and has never claimed for food or entertainment even when it was allowed and looked like it was secret. Karen is open whereas our anonymous smearer won't even tell us his name.

  9. Well Karen Buck clearly did max out her second allowance - limit £0.00, claimed £0.00.
