Conservative spokesmen on TV never questioned the legitimacy of people being elected on such low turnouts.
ReplyDeleteAs a number of interviewers pointed out, this was rather different to their attitude to strike votes in trade unions.
The BNP vote has now gone down in every by election. This was most spectacular in Corby where they went from 4.7% to 1.7%.
