Isn't democracy wonderful?

Back from a week of complete relaxation, including trips to the excellent Sportsman http://www.whitstable-shellfish.co.uk/sportsman_main.htm and http://travel.guardian.co.uk/restaurants/story/0,,1007508,00.html and its sister restaurant the Granville http://observer.guardian.co.uk/magazine/story/0,,1715381,00.html both of which are worth a trip to Kent in themselves.

Unfortunately back to rain and the infinitely depressing news that at least 14,000 of Labour's grassroots members actually do want to turn us into a joke party again:

In one of your entries about the NEC elections, you argued that Labour First has improved in terms of organization......do you still hold the same view?
With such a low turnout, make sure that your supporters vote is actually more important than usual and being well organized helps IMO. I think GA was better organized than LF.

You also said Wolfgang was not a vote winner as Seddon....you were right, but I think at the time you underestimated the fact that Labour First also lost 2 strong candidates like Ruth Turner and Malik compared to 2004 and people like Philomena Muggins weren't in the same league in terms of being vote winners.
