Gavin Esler

Well done to Gavin Esler, who was presenting Newsnight last night, for slapping down pompous Lib Dem Ed Davey's comparison of the loans for honours allegations to Watergate (I think I heard Esler describe it as a "silly" comparison) and highlighting the fact that Mr Davey's party's own biggest donor is in jail for perjury.

That was quite funny! Bloody liberals!! And speaking of Lib Dem hypcrisy, anyone see PMQs today - some backbench nonentity of theirs piped up and complained about the lack of prison places! Unbelievable, the soft-on-crime Lib Dems criticising the Prime Minister on law and order. Whatever next???

AND Chris Brown is yet to face loads more charges. Iffy passports so far. Lots more to come. AND Iain Dale did a good job of showing how he was an offshore donor, whatever the p poor EC may say.

He should probably be in hospital not prison however as giving to the Fibs on this scale betrays some serious disorder or other.

Ah yes Luke your continuing denial on the Honours corruption front; you (and the aptly named 'sham') are now saying "Oh alleged Honours corruption, well the Lib Dems do it as well so that's OK then".

Gosh, in your thrashing around and displacemnet activity, your target are getting pretty desperate - the SNP an the Lib Dems. I think you're going to find that PC Plod is made of sterner stuff.

Meantime, I note that in the real world, there is a rising wonderment about just why is the Blair Cabinet so, so, enamoured by the predatory and amoral Casino sector? surely not more of the sleaze drip, drips, drips that more and more shapes the public perception?
