Prezza vs Hazel

I had forgotten that John Prescott has an "antipathy" to Hazel Blears. Another good reason to back Hazel for Deuty Leader.

Does anyone care what JP thinks about anything any more? Well past his sell by date and he's lashing out because nobody cares anymore.

Contrast that with TB - yes people might be manouvring around him, but he's without doubt the biggest figure in the party, while JP is the incredible shrinking man.

Sorry to disappoint you Luke, but she's out of the race.

I just put this on UKDP too:

This is (a) a story in the Manchester Evening News (no guarantee of accuracy or good judgement) and (b) clearly briefed by Ian Stewart. Stewart wasn't at the earlier demo was he? So surely that is 1-1? And Thursday is very much a working day at Westminster.

I'll not be voting for her but the idea she's out of the race because she does not go to an anti Whitehall demo is perverse, isn't it?

The demo and Hazel's attendance in particular is not aimed at LP members nationwide it is aimed at the SHA etc and to a small extent at local constituency members.
