Hammersmith Tories

...reach out to ethnic minority communities

This charming lady is one of the new ruling group whom David Cameron hailed the victory of when he visited Hammersmith & Fulham the day after the 2006 elections. Impressive to see that his new, modernised, liberal image doesn't even extend to the next borough to Notting Hill, led alone nation wide. Alf Garnett would be proud to vote for Cllr Ivimy.

Take it that this will be a major plank of your party's election strategy. Distortion and smear.

Actually, I CAN see her point. Sadly, a lot of newcomers arrive with some unpleasant habits - not to mention health hazards.

For example, Somalians spitting comes only second to sitting around in run-down cafes chewing on quat.

By the way, have you forgotten your Crewe and Nantwich campaign pledge to luck up all foreigners?

She is only saying what everyone else is thinking. This is the problem with Labour they obviously don't talk to people on the ground as these things enter everyday conversations all the time.

I'm not saying immigrants throw litter out of windows, there are probably just as many Brits who do just the same. I caught a young lad the other day on a local park smashing glass bottles on the pavement. Only a month ago one of my dogs sliced it's paw open on some of the glass. I kicked him over onto the glass and I hope he remembers how painful it is to fall on broken glass.

People need to learn to respect and look after what they given.

Too much immigration and over too short a time period.

You won't win an election with smear like that because people just don't care.

Who you accusing of distortion and smear? The Mail?!

As for Rich - you seem to vacillate between agreeing with the Tory councillor, disagreeing with her, accusing Luke of a smear, and then suggesting that people don't care if it's true or not. An astonishing number of positions in a few short sentences!

Rich: from where has recent increased immigration come?

Mind you, given that you clearly hold fascist views in the classic mould, I don't know why I bother to ask you.

Of course the Hammersmith councillor concerned will be voting for a black Tory candidate next time....

Oh dear. That's the problem with pretending to be inclusive, you can never quite keep the pretense up 24 hours a day.

Never mind. I'm sure the electorate of Hammersmith will forget - not.

The Mail, oddly, has quite a good record of exposing hypocrisy - even in Tory circles. And what is about Hammersmith? They should have perhaps learned a few lessons from Greg "lets all blacken our faces for a laff" Hand. This is what is technically known as an "own goal".

What a horrendus this to say!! Well done Luke for spotting this vile woman's comments! I remember reading on Fair deal Phill's blog (a good read from time to time even though I disagree with him) a case involving two black concervatives trying to attend one of their party's meetings,
The article is in his April archive and is called:

"Four stories that tell you all you need to know about today's Tory Party..."

Here is the link if anyone is interested in reading it:

Very logical arguement Luke - I assume that the whole of the Labour Party can therefore be tarred with the anti-semitic brush following Livingstone's numberous anti-jewish comments? You're behaving like prat.
