Save Alex Hilton for the nation

Alex Hilton needs your cash.

Seriously he is having to fund a legal case over something published on LabourHome.

Read more about this and how to donate here:

Absolutely no sympathy whatsoever. He can use the fees he gets as a 'pundit' for Sky, or the fee the Independent paid for a survey of LabourHome readers, or his fees for his column in PR Week, or the price he extracted for selling the site, or any of the other ways he makes money from his association with the Labour Party.

The 2 comments by Anonymous above are rather cynical. People such as Alex Hilton are probably not as wealthy as both your posts suggest.

In any case have some heart Alex Hilton will need some help in times of trouble. Dont we all?

Leave Alex alone!

He's quite large for a small guy, if you know what I mean!

This would be the same Alex Hilton who described John Cruddas as being "most reminiscent of Oswald Mosely".

I would support a comrade. I will not be supporting Alex Hilton.

I made my feelings perfectly clear on my blog yesterday.

He deserves no money and no sympathy for his own stupidity in not monitoring the website that he owns.

Yes. That's the one.

No further questions.

See my earlier post for what I thought about that particular opinion of Alex's.

Most of his points were fair comment - the leap to the Moseley comparison at the end was bonkers though.

I'll say no more rather than drop Luke in it.

Hi

Alex is the innocent party in all this. I posted the original story. By all means she could sue me (she is) but if she was to win against Labourhome then I cannot see how any blogs can allow unmoderated posts or comments. Even if you moderate beforehand (as I do on my site) you could face utterly spurious legal action. Check out http://grayee.blogspot.com/2008/12/being-sued-for-libel-by-disrespectful.html
