I'm shocked that there's no banner on your site proclaiming the greatest event of the year, the glorious moment in which all our hopes and dreams are realized and the spirit of the nation soars...

Yes - it's

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GORDON BROWN!!!

What? Why's no one else celebrating?

A very interesting programme on radio 2 today regarding debt and gambling. One of the guests opening criticized both Brown for his management of the economy and the last thatcher government. He also asked for a public apology from the government and the opposition for the wreckless running of this country,

He argued that there needs to be a more open debate about the alternatives to the current state of capitalism. The idea that 0 growth is bad must be challenged as it is more than possible to sustain 0 growth without massive job losses and hardship. An idea that both Cameron and Brown think is lunacy....but is it.

I'm pretty poor at maths and economics but to me the need for positive growth is harmful to people and our planet. Can't we just make do with making a little money rather than world domination.

It would surely be better to have leaders that look after its citizens best interests rather than the interest of corporate giants and bankers. Surely this is Labours opportunity to offer the country change....?
