Looks like voters who are switching from Labour going to the Greens rather than the BNP. So much for the Tory bloggers' analysis.

The European results look ok for Labour as I predicted. Too many parties and too little turnout.

The BNP just got a seat in Yorks and Humber.

It appears they got elected at our expense!

Things must be bad if retaining Hackney is a consolation!

They'd elect the embalmed corpse of Mao Zedong if someone put him on the ballot as Labour there.

Good old Hackney. Good to know there's somewhere in the U.K. where common sense thrives.

So basically 65% of people in Hackney do not want Labour ...for me that's a good thing but I am not quite sure why it would be good for a Labour party member.

Do you lot remember the Tories for years and years they moaned we must have Thatcher back, then we must have Thatcherite policies, we still hear the old farts saying it. Now we have labour we must have Blair back, next it will be Blair policies and then we will have ah well never mind after twenty years we might as well give up.

All the Labour voters in Hackney are private school educated champagne socialists who only live in Hackney during the week and impose their warped view of the world on the poor working class people actually born in the borough and live here 27/7 365 days of the year.

Ravi...well don't say I didn't warn you.

It is not a bad thing they will hopefully do some good thing...giving a voice to many people who have been ignored by Labour.

These issues must be debated and this is the only way it will happen.
