Council by-election

Another quiet week with just one council by-election on Bonfire Night:

Lower Sheering Ward, Epping Forest DC. Con hold. Con 302 (76.5%, +0.6), LD 93 (23.5%, -0.6). Swing of 0.6% from LD to Con since 2007.

Swing to Conservative? Are they mad? This week of all weeks, when Lord Gaga is finally exposed as a sham! Even 'The Daily Mail' has described this week as being bad for Britain, democracy and the Tories. What's going on?

Calm down Arnold. The result does not give Cameron any hope. If anything, he should be wetting himself.

Arnold how come you always seem to be ready to advertise your stupidity so quickly after Luke posts his comments?

Someone else has already questioned if you're a "Tory Stooge" on here in another post. Well?

Anyway forget this local election - YouGov this week showed the Tories up again against Labour - still 14% ahead and that's more than Bliar at the same period in '96.

Basically if the Tories can welsh on a pledge, proving they are just the same as Liebour and still be ahead it means curtains for you lot. hahahahahahahahaha

That prize plonker who he says he saved the world, bravely and courageously, has got stuffed again, this time on a "transaction tax" on the stock market.

A couple of minutes after his new initiative, Tim Geithner, Obama's treasury pointman, steps up to say its bollocks.

Yes, Gordy, it's bollocks.

Now fuck off and do something brave and courageous like bringing our kids back from that desert shithole.

LUKE

I understand... by way of an article in the online edition of Property Week that HACKNEY COUNCIL have given the GIANT PROPERTY DEVELOPER - HAMMERSON - PLANNING PERMISSION to commence construction of it's HIDEOUS MASSIVELY OUT OF SCALE HIGH RISE "BISHOPS PLACE" SCHEME...

What is that all about...??

It was only a few months ago that HACKNEY COUNCIL EXTENDED THE SHOREDITCH CONSERVATION AREA... TO INCLUDE THE SITE OF THE "LIGHT BAR"... THE LATTER OF WHICH HAMMERSON ORIGINALLY WANTED DEMOLISHED...

NOW ANSWER THIS QUESTION LUKE:

AS HACKNEY COUNCIL HAS EXTENDED THE SHOREDITCH CONSERVATION AREA... HOW ON EARTH DOES IT THEN COME TO A DECISION TO GIVE PLANNING PERMISSION FOR A MASSIVE HIGH RISE DEVELOPMENT TO LOOM OVER SAID CONSERVATION AREA...??

OH I FORGOT... HACKNEY IS THE SAME COUNCIL THAT HAS ALLOWED BARRATT HOMES TO DESTROY THE ONCE ATTRACTIVE "OLD DALSTON"...

AHH... ISN'T IT NICE...

ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF A "NEW LABOUR" COUNCIL GETTING A LITTLE TOO COSY WITH FACELESS PROPERTY CORPORATIONS...

MAKES ME INCANDESCENT WITH RAGE...

ABSOLUTE BLOODY DISGRACE...

SORT THIS SHERADE OUT... AND SOON...

BEFORE LABOUR DIES... FOR GOOD...
