Some great appointments, esp. from the talented new intake:

Agree that there are some good appointments.

Struggling with Michael Dugher on the front bench at the moment...

Might just be showing my age... He was the young upstart who managed to become Labour Student Vice-Chair despite everybody anybody asked having voted for the other guy...

Good selection of people from a range of places in the party. Interesting to see Diane Abbott speaking on public health - I think she could do that very well

Well last time Diane spoke about public health it was to complain that blonde, blue-eyed finnish nurses wouldn't understand the needs of black people, or some such thing.

Sadly, I'm not expecting anything amazing from Diane. She always seems so out of her depth once the conversation gets technical.

I would be embarassed if aftr 23 years of being a high-profile MP, my colleagues won't even vote for me to be in the shadow cabinet and I am given a junior ministerial post by a leader who was still at school when I became an MP.

Is there anywhere I could find a more detailed breakdown of junior shadow responsibilities?

Agree about Diane and her king sized chip. Far too quick to play the race card and has never actually grasped the notion that the best way towards equality is to treat everyone the same, including blonde, blue eyed Finnish nurses, and stop mentioning skin colour or ethnic origin.

Mind you, she has used the black boys are not given a proper education excuse, to justify her very un-left wing decision to educate her offspring privately.

Best left following her media career with Portillo where she can't do much harm.

Jimmy

it doesn't exist yet as some of the shadow teams are meeting at the moment to determine responsibilities.
