My Labourlist column responds to Neal Lawson's piece last week: http://www.labourlist.org/neal-lawson-is-not-mandela

As the Sunday Times revealed over the weekend, Labour, or more precisely gormless Gordon, only ponied up £5bn for its Building Schools for the Future programme leaving the tab of £45bn to be picked up by succeeding generations.

So too hospitals.

The grand vision broken by post-dated cheques leaving the country swamped in debt.

Too right there has to be truth and reconciliation commission, as Lawson. And a scaffold. I'll be a delighted tricotteuse.

Same old Labour. Same old vision stuff. Same old mad economics.

Quite possibly true.
However, be careful with The Sunday Times. Remember Hitler's Diaries!!!!

Oh, and there was also that story about how Michael Foot was a KGB agent. In fact, Foot had supported the setting up of NATO and never subsequently questioned British membership of it.

("'Sunday Times' pays Foot damages over KGB claim". The Independent)
