Progress Column

My Progress column this week is about Ed Miliband's speech last week on the economy:

"ICM’s polling this week showed that public opinion is still split on the blame for the economic mess the UK is in: 30 per cent say the cause is the previous Labour government’s debts..."

That is a good reason why the Labour Party would have been so unwise to elect David Miliband last year. As someone so closely linked to the last Labour government, he would not hve been the electoral asset that his supporters claimed (without any evidence a lot of the time).
