Council by-elections

There were five by-elections yesterday:


New Tredegar Ward, Caerphilly CBC. Lab hold. Lab 694 (85.5%, +12.8), PC 94 (11.6%, +11.6), Con 24 (3%, +3). Swing of 0.6% from PC to Lab since May this year.

St Mary’s Ward, Fenland DC. Con hold. Con 397 (62.5%, +16.5), Ind 160 (25.2%, -15.7), Lab 78 (12.3%, +12.3). Swing of 16.1% from Ind to Con since 2011.

Seaton Ward, Hartlepool UA. Hartlepool First gain from Ind. Hartlepool First 441 (38.4%, +24.9), Lab 261 (22.7%, +8.4), Ind 193 (16.8%, -33.8), UKIP 128 (11.1%, -2), Con 94 (8.2%, -0.3), LD 31 (2.7%, +2.7). Swing of 8.3% from Lab to Hartlepool First since May this year.

Didcot All Saints Ward, South Oxfordshire DC. Lab hold. Lab 436 (47%, + 4.6), Con 340 (36.7%, -6.9), LD 151 (16.3%, +2.3). Swing of 5.8% from Con to Lab since 2011.

Pinkneys Green Ward, RB Windsor & Maidenhead. LD gain from Con. LD  839 (43.2%, +1.2), Con 831 (42.8%, -5), UKIP  152 (7.8%, +7.8), Lab 121 (6.2%, -4).  Swing of 3.1% from Con to LD since 2011.
